Team Coach Role and Responsibilities

Minimum qualification requirements:

  • First 4 Sport Coaching qualifications*
  • FA Licenced Coaches Club Registration
  • Valid Criminal Records Check
  • Valid First Aid Certificate

 

To oversee all matters covering the operation of designated team(s) which includes but is not limited to:

  1. Acting as main point of contact for relevant leagues
  2. Arranging suitable training facilities indoor/outdoor throughout the season
  3. Liaising with Head of Football on any kit & equipment required to be purchased and obtaining Committee agreement prior to making purchases
  4. Assisting the Head of Football with the sourcing of team sponsors
  5. Liaising with Head of Football on pre-season registrations & collections of fees
  6. Maintaining up to date qualifications, registrations and certificates including criminal disclosure checks, safeguarding and first aid qualifications
  7. Ensuring timely submission of match summaries to Head of Football or direct to leagues
  8. To keep a player register of attendance at training and collect subs
  9. To ensure subs/match fees are paid to the Treasurer/Secretary on a minimum monthly basis

*  Marsden Football Club is committed to the development of individuals.  The Club will fund the costs of coaching qualifications for individuals willing to commit to the club for a minimum of 2 seasons.  The following terms apply:

 

  • Coaches leaving within 1 year of taking the qualification are required to reimburse the Club 100% of the cost
  • Coaches leaving between 1-2 years are required to reimburse the club 50% of the cost.
